NALMCO, along with the University of Maryland and industry partners, has developed a Germicidal Ultraviolet (GUV) training and certification program designed to provide professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively install, operate, and maintain GUV systems. Germicidal Ultraviolet (GUV) technology has gained significant recognition as an effective method for disinfection of air and surfaces across various industries. As the use of GUV systems continues to grow, it is important that professionals responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of GUV luminaires receive proper training. The GUV Installer Training Program was developed by the University of Maryland with generous funding from the Balvi Foundation. The online training content is freely available, and NALMCO provides certification exams for professionals seeking formal recognition of their knowledge and skills. Why GUV Training MattersGUV is a safe and effective method for cleaning air inside buildings, but proper installation and maintenance require knowledgeable professionals. This program provides the foundation needed to understand GUV technology and apply best practices in the field. Training at a GlanceFormat: Audience: Technology: Certification: Learning Objectives
